Tween-queen Duff stars in this girlie matchmaking movie as Holly, a teenager tired of moving every time her mother splits from her latest boyfriend. She decides to concoct the perfect guy for her mother, sending flowers and fake notes from a nonexistent man, obviously not thinking the plan through and realising mum would probably like to meet him at some point.
Unfortunately for a comedy drama, this isn’t very funny. Even the youngest of viewers will realise it makes no sense, while older ones will just cringe as much as the cast, who look increasingly uncomfortable as they have to perform a script that gets more ridiculous as the film progresses. One for ardent Hilary Duff fans only.
