The Great Muppet Caper is the second movie to feature the Muppets, this one’s set in Britain (locations include Knebworth House, also used as Wayne Manor in 1990’s Batman) so features a host of British character actors, including Trevor Howard, John Cleese, Diana Rigg and Peter Ustinov.

Kermit, Fozzie and Gonzo travel to England to interview Lady Holiday (Rigg), whose jewels were recently stolen. There, Kermit falls for her assistant, Miss Piggy, and when she is framed for the theft, the Muppets set out to prove the porcine one’s innocence. With dance routines, an Esther Williams-style swimming musical number for Miss Piggy, a lovely bicycle ride through a London park and joke after joke after joke, this is the second best movie to feature everyone’s favourite puppets (after the original, The Muppet Movie).
