Pokémon: Detective Pikachu – first trailer for live action movie

The first ever live action Pokémon adventure is coming to cinemas next year! Ryan Reynolds stars as Pikachu as the world of Pokémon comes to life.

When private eye Harry Goodman disappears, his son Tim decides to find out what happened, working with Harry’s former Pokémon partner, Detective Pikachu to unravel the mystery. Together they trawl the streets of Rymr City – a neon-lit metropolis where humans and Pokémon live side by side – and uncover a shocking plot that could threaten the Pokémon universe.

Ryan Reynolds costars with Justice Smith, Katherine Newton, Ken Watanabe, Rita Ora, Suki Waterhouse and Bill Nighy. The movie opens on May 10,2019.
