Horrible Histories: The Movie is coming!
Fans of the award-winning British TV series Horrible Histories – and the Terry Deary books the show is based on – will be thrilled to hear that there is going to be a Horrible Histories movie in cinemas next year.
Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans (to give the movie its full title) is filming on location in the UK and Bulgaria, and stars Sebastian Croft as Roman teenager Atti and Emilia Jones as his Celtic rival Orla. They are joined by a celebrity cast that includes Nick Frost, Kim Cattrall, Craig Roberts, Kate Nash, Rupert Graves and Sir Derek Jacobi, alongside comedy stars including Alexander Armstrong, Lee Mack, Kevin Bishop and Warwick Davis and Horrible Histories actors including Sarah Hadland, Dave Lamb, Jessica Ransom and Tom Stourton.
It’s the story of how Atti is sent to cold, wet and miserable Britain as part of Nero’s army, and is then captured by teenage Celt Orla, who is desperate to prove herself as a warrior. They are caught up in the chaos when Nero decides to crush a rebellion led by the legendary Boudicca.
The movie is due for release in the UK on July 26, 2019.
