RIP Gene Wilder

 

Very sad to hear that comic actor/writer/director Gene Wilder has died at the age of 83 from complications due to Alzheimer’s Disease. One of America’s funniest comic actors, he is best known for his superb performance as Leo Bloom in The Producers (1967), as Dr Frankenstein in Young Frankenstein (1974) and, of course, as Willy Wonka in 1971’s Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.
