Ronnie (Cyrus) is reluctantly spending the whole summer with her dad (Kinnear) in this drama written by Nicholas Sparks (A Walk To Remember, The Notebook). Luckily, she befriends local hunk Will (Hemsworth), and the pair fall in love. However, her dad isn't looking very well…
Yes, it's weepy time, and like the other movies based on Sparks' stories, it's predictable stuff, too. While Kinnear and Hemsworth give nice performances, Miley Cyrus looks out of her depth during the heavyweight scenes, and only teens who loved her as Hannah Montana will sit through this slow and laboured romance.
