Scott (Fox) has more problems than your average angst-ridden teenager – when the moon is full he sprouts fur and fangs as part of a family curse that turns the males into werewolves. Will he keep his fuzziness a secret? Or could his wolfish agility come in handy on the basketball court and turn him into a popular kid at last?
An incredibly silly but really rather sweet teen comedy, this pales in comparison with Fox’s other 1985 movie, Back to the Future, but passes the time quickly enough. A sequel, Teen Wolf Too, which starred Jason Bateman (now the grown-up star of TV’s cult hit Arrested Development), is best left on the shelf.

Younger viewers may be scared the first time Scott turns into a wolf.
