A sequel to the 2010 Russian animated adventure Space Dogs, which told the story of the original pups who returned from space on Sputnik. This time it’s the son of those canine astronauts who gets to go into space to rescue his dad who is trapped on the moon.

It’s cute enough stuff that zips along at a decent pace, and is firmly aimed at the youngest members of the audience, who won’t mind talking monkeys and little green aliens thrown into the mix. Adults, meanwhile, will probably be more impressed by the slick animation and the movie’s short running time.

Is Space Dogs: Adventure To The Moon suitable for kids? Here are our parents’ notes...
