Movies4Kids News: SOUL premiering on Disney+ and trailers galore…

As many cinemas around the world remain closed, release dates of upcoming movies like Dune and Black Widow have been delayed until 2021. But there are still some treats to look forward to this year and happily, we won’t have to wait too long for one of Disney/Pixar’s most anticipated movies – SOUL – as while it is no longer coming to cinemas in late November, it is instead being premiered on Disney+ on Christmas Day.

Check out the trailer below, and read on for more movie news…

There are lots of other family movies coming your way before the end of 2020, too and we’ve got some new trailers for three of them.

First up is Netflix’s Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey, which will be available to view from 13th November. Set in the town of Cobbleton, the film is the story of legendary toymaker Jeronicus Jingle (Forest Whitaker), whose most prized invention is stolen by his apprentice (Keegan-Michael Key). It’s up to Jingle’s granddaughter (Madalen Mills) to save the day in this seasonal adventure that features original songs from John Legend. The cast also includes Phylicia Rashad, Anika None Rose, Ricky Martin and Hugh Bonneville.

If you fancy something a little darker, there is also a new cinematic adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Witches in the works. Directed by Back To The Future’s Robert Zemeckis, the movie tells the story of a young orphaned boy who goes to live with his grandma. Together, they find themselves in a seaside resort – at the same time that the world’s Grand High Witch has gathered her fellow witches to carry out her wicked plans.

Relocating the story from England to the US, the movie features Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, Stanley Tucci, Chris Rock and Kristin Chenoweth. US and Canadian viewers will be able to download the movie from 22 October and it will be available to stream in the UK from October 26th – just in time for Halloween.

And finally, we have a new trailer for the action comedy Free Guy, due to open in cinemas on 11th December. Ryan Reynolds stars as an average man who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game. He decides to become the hero of his own story but may have to save the world in the process…

And here are some more cinema releases coming before the end of 2020. Please note these are release dates for the UK and are subject to change, of course:
