Secrets Of The Movies – August family event in London

The Film Distributors Association will be holding a free family movie exhibition in the Strand this August

If you are in London over the summer, pop along to the Strand Gallery where the Film Distributors Association will be holding a free family exhibition from 10th to 24th August. Secrets Of The Movies is an exhibition of more than 75 film posters and behind the scenes images, and also boasts a model cinema built for the exhibition out of 25,000 LEGO bricks.

There will be daily activities including live stunt performances, a video booth, games and quizzes, as well as presentations on film animation and designing film posters, and the gallery of artwork that includes both classic and new movie images, including artwork from upcoming British films like Paddington 2, Kenneth Branagh’s Murder On the Orient Express, Goodbye Christopher Robin and Andy Serkis’ Breathe.

 

The exhibition is at the Strand Gallery, 32 John Adam Street, London WC2N 6BP from Thursday 10 August until Thursday 24 August. Opening hours are 11am-6pm. More information can be found at the FDA website.
