Oddball And The Penguins – cutest film of the week

 

Movies4Kids’ favourite cinema release of the week has to be the cute Oddball & The Penguins (you can read our review here). It’s loosely based on the true story of a maremma sheepdog that protects penguins off the coast of Australia, near the town of Warrnambool, and you can read more about the real-life project involving the dogs and the penguins at www.warrnamboolpenguins.com.au

 

And if you couldn’t think the story could be any cuter, just check out the photo below. It’s of a nine-week old puppy who will be trained to work alongside the current guard dogs, Eudy and Tula, protecting the penguin colony. As you can see, he’s a pup in training, practising his protective ways on a chicken!
